About me?
Who am I? Who are you? And what brings you to my inconspicuous little blog?

Never mind that – Didn’t mean to get off on the wrong foot. Simply put – I’m Sentel. I suppose an identity I could throw out is sheep-herding-photo-taking-poem-writing-follower-of-Jesus. I have always been a fan of words. I have not always been a fan of Jesus. It wasn’t until my junior year in college that I found out life with God is the sublime reason for existence (not boring self-hating pew sitting misery) and the Holy Spirit is real. Once I stepped into this new dimension, I was mad at all the time I wasted thinking God(?) was probably a pissed off legalist in heaven and a tool for social control on earth. God wanted me to stop the façade and get in on the adventure, get in his presence, and stop the chase for fulfillment.

That being said, I relate to the disciple “doubting” Thomas. He’s the guy who had to feel the holes in Jesus’ hands to believe he raised from the dead. I found my faith through doubt — doubting everything I had ever been told about God and demanding to encounter him myself. As I grow older, I’ve found that when you truly have something real, nobody criticizing or doubting your faith can change it — even if you’re the one doubting. I think doubt is a healthy part of faith and I’m beginning to be okay living with my many unanswered questions. Questions have always led me closer to God, not away.
This blog is an attempt to put words to my faith experience and our strange, beautiful existence on planet earth. Working with sheep, (the most magical little creatures in my opinion) I am constantly reminded how crazy life is: spinning around a sphere in space, spirit of God breathing through our lungs. Absolutely nothing is mundane.
If you are interested in agriculture, poetry, books, or honest conversations about God without the jargon, this blog might be for you.
